Church Ministries

We have a place for you to plug in and make friends, get your soul fed, learn and grow, and to use your gifts. Check out these groups and see what’s the best fit for you!

Give & Serve

Online Giving

We have offering boxes in the back of the sanctuary. However, you may prefer to give systematically and online. By clicking on the button “MAKE A DONATION” you can give a one-time gift or set-up a recurring gift to Bethel Baptist Church. At Bethel we currently direct 30% of every dollar given in the Sunday morning offering to Missions. We devote our remaining 70% of the budget for church staff, church ministry and property needs. Special offerings are taken for various needs that come up throughout the year. The Bethel Care Fund, separate from the regular offering, is an on-going fund that allows the leaders to take care of some people’s needs privately. Donations can even be marked for a specific purpose.

A Few More Ways to Give & Serve

Opportunities abound to use your gifts and talents at Bethel. Here are some ways to serve; God might give you with other ideas:

Prayer, teaching, working with children/youth, babies, music – instrumental/singing, audio/visual, technology, missions, handyman skills – serving others, cooking, giving, helping the needy, lawn care, snow removal, etc.

What interests or abilities do you have?

Meal train

Sometimes a person or family needs meals brought to them. A link to the Meal Train for that occasion allows you to sign up for a time to deliver a meal. If you are on the email list, you’ll get the link the next time it’s needed. You can talk to the secretary about making sure you are on the list.

Pop Bottles and Cans

All those 5 cent return-for-deposit pop cans and bottles can be thrown into the fenced area, next to the garage and dumpster, around the back of the building. Please have them secured in plastic bags. Once a month a different Sunday school class is given money to do a project. They LOVE choosing where to donate their money!

Nursery (Birth – 3 Years Old)

We love children! Nursery is available in the back of the building, during both Sunday school and service. Because of allergies, no snacks from your home will be offered, only bottles/drinks. Rice Chex will be offered as a snack.

Sunday School

This is not just for the kids; it’s for all ages. Consider this your invitation. Just show up. Any Sunday, from 9:00 – 9:50 AM. Just as you are. Come learn with us as we are all challenged to grow in our walk with Christ. During Sunday School, babies to age 2 can go to the nursery. There is a class for the 2 & 3 year old’s in their nursery room too. Age 2 to those in 4th grade start in the sanctuary for songs before going with their teachers to classes. The 5th-6th grade class meets upstairs. The stairway up is right inside the gym. 7-8th graders and the high school classes meet downstairs. Adults meet in Room 102 off the long, main hallway. Oftentimes there is a second adult class downstairs.

Preschool & Elementary

105 Children’s Ministry
Wednesdays 6:45 – 8:00 PM
Beginning September 10, 2025
For Pre-K – 6th grade.
Do you want your kids to grow up learning to know God and knowing how to make good choices? As parents, it’s your responsibility to teach your children, but we would like to help you. The key to success in life is following God’s Word. It is a “lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. That’s the reason we named our children’s ministry after Psalm 119:105. “105” meets every Wednesday evening, from 6:45 – 8:00 PM. It’s a great combination of fun and games and learning. Please fill out the registration form here.

Jr. High & High School

Wednesdays 7 – 8:30 pm
Beginning September 10
We love it when young people take responsibility for their faith and come to youth groups. We take the gift of their presence seriously and do our best to lead them well. The youth group is also called “Bethel Student Ministry”, or BSM for short. We meet for songs, a lesson, snacks, and games. Sometimes we take trips to hear speakers or attend a conference.
For more information, email our Youth Pastor, Bryan Watts at bethelbsm@gmail.com.

Women

Men

Men’s ministry has proven to be an effective way for our men to encourage each other, grow spiritually, hold each other accountable and have times of fellowship. Bethel has a men’s group that meets Monday nights at 8 PM in the church. Please contact the church at (712) 272-3735 to find out what bible studies we currently have available.
